Pool, activities & facilities at Les Flamands
All our visitors share the 10m x 5m swimming pool.
There is underwater lighting for late night swimmers
and roman steps in the 90cm shallow end for younger
children - or the nervous - and a 1.8m deep end.
Around the
pool there are sun loungers, garden chairs and
poolside tables.
We also have
an outdoor table tennis table, boules and badminton.
Two washing
machines are available in the utility room. Each
cottage has an iron and ironing board.

Facilities & activities in
Cherveix Cubas
The heart of Cherveix Cubas is only a two minute
walk from Les Flamands and offers a wide range of
village shops including a bakery, grocery/convenience store, wine
shop, pharmacy and post office as well as
bars and excellent restaurants.
There is a tennis court which can be booked by the
hour.
An
adventure company in the village offers canoeing and VTT (mountain bike) hire. They also arrange
caving and rock climbing trips for those interested.
Around the
village there are many pleasant walks on the country
lanes and woodland tracks as well as mountain
bike trails. We can provide marked maps and a

Practicalities
The nearest ATM/cash dispenser is
Credit Agricole at St. Agnan (3 miles). This machine
accepts most cards and operates in English when an
UK card is used. The bank itself is open Tuesday to
Saturday Mornings only but doesn't provide 'Bureau
de change' services nor can it supply cash - in
fact, it's not clear what banking services it does
offer.
The nearest fuel is at Garage Duverneuil in Cherveix
Cubas. Fuel at Intermarche at St.Agnan is less
expensive and accepts cards out of hours (which is most of
the time).
Nearest Supermarkets are
Intermarche at St.Agnan and Carrefour Market
at Excideuil (7 miles). Intermarche is open on
Sunday mornings until 11.30am.
The bakery and
grocers/convenience store in Cherveix Cubas are open
on Sunday mornings.
There is a Post Office in
Cherveix Cubas but opening hours are limited.
The mobile phone service in
Cherveix Cubas is Orange and the service is strong
and reliable.
For internet you can log onto our
WiFi. The signal may be adequate in your cottage but if
not there are several places where you will find a
good signal.
