Les
Flamands Gites and Bed & Breakfast
Les
Flamands has been offering gite and bed & breakfast
accommodation since 1993. There are currently two
gites available, the larger sleeps 6 in three bedrooms and
the other is a spacious apartment with a double bed.
The gites
offer comfortable holiday accommodation for couples
and families with children over 12 years old.
Guests staying
in the gites and bed & breakfast have use of the 10m
x 5m swimming pool and the garden.
Les Flamands is set on the
edge of the thriving, friendly village of Cherveix
Cubas. It is only a two minute walk from Les
Flamands to the village
centre where you will find a range of shops
including bakery, grocery/convenience store, wine
shop, pharmacy and post office as well as
bars and excellent restaurants.
The attractive
village of Cherveix Cubas lies on the border of
the Perigord Vert, known for verdant woodland
landscapes, and the Perigord Noir known for truffles. The Perigord Blanc with more
rugged landscape is known for rock outcrops
and caves and is close by. The Perigord has a rich
history dating back to Prehistoric man. There are
many Chateaux built by the English and French during
the 100 Years War and in more peaceful times the
area has become famous for its gastronomy founded on
local delicacies including the truffles, foie gras, cepes and walnuts.
